Happy New Year!
I cannot believe how fast December flew by… but I still managed to find some products that I absolutely fell in love with.
First things first, make up: At the beginning of the month I did a haul blog post, where I showed you some of my recent purchases. Well, I’m now obsessed with the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette. The contour shade – very build-able coverage, long lasting and looks so natural if applied lightly. The Highlight shade gives such a gorgeous candle-lit glow. Overall, a fantastic product. And I’ve been loving applying the contour shade with the angled Morphe brush that came in this set. I think it’s for blush.. but oh, well. Also let’s talk about the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer. It is very light and airy and provides an amazing canvas for my foundation. The foundation goes on so much smoother. On my eyes I’ve really been into The Bronze Palette by (surprise, surprise) Kylie Jenner. The shades are really pigmented and wearable. I love applying the top right and middle left shade in the crease and the middle left shade and top middle all over my lids for my everyday makeup. One thing that I don’t like about the palette though is that it doesn’t come with a mirror.
Skin care related I have two products. I’ve been applying Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel every morning. I have combination to oily skin and this thing does wonders to my skin. It is very light on the face and not sticky and wet as most of the moisturizers I’ve tried. It is fragrance-free and makes my skin so soft! I’ve also been using Origins Active Charcoal Mask at least twice a week. It’s a great deep cleansing mask. I feel like my skin has been polished after I wash off the mask, but never experience any irritation or redness. Another favorite – Shea Body Butter by the The Body Shop. I have very dry body skin and in winters Shea body butter is the perfect one for me. It’s rich, creamy and I love the smell.
Random favorites: I love my big grey/black Stradivarius scarf that goes with everything.. it’s like a blanket and it keeps me so warm when it’s -1 degrees celsius outside. Sadly, I couldn’t find it online to link it as I bought it last year. And lastly, I’ve been obsessed with Black Opium perfume by YSL… warm and spicy, but not too overpowering. Perfect for winter!
Music favorites: Apart from all the Christmas music, I’ve been listening to The Weekend’s new album a lot in December. My favorite songs are Stargirl Interlude, I feel it Coming and Ordinary Life.. so, so good!
